Google Chat is introducing the ability for space managers and authorized users to add Google Groups to a space. Once a group is added, its members are automatically added to the space, and any subsequent changes to the group's membership are automatically reflected in the space, significantly simplifying the management of large member lists.

Automatic spam labeling for SMS in Google Voice

Google Voice is extending its suspected spam caller warnings to SMS messages on Android and iOS devices. Users will see labels within suspected spam messages and can either confirm the spam, which sends future messages from that number to the spam folder, or mark the message as not spam to remove the label for that number.

Google is adding the ability to insert hyperlinks into cells within the Google Sheets app for iOS devices. Users can insert a link by selecting a cell, clicking the '+' icon in the top left corner, and selecting 'Insert' then 'Link'. The app also provides options to edit or remove existing links.

Birthday decorations will be displayed on your birthday if you’ve added your birthday to your Google Account profile and you’ve set the information to be visible to others.

Organizational unit attribute for external directory sync

When using Directory Sync, administrators can now map users from Azure Active Directory or Active Directory to specific organizational units within Google Workspace. This is achieved by adding an organizational unit as an attribute in the external directory, simplifying the synchronization of users across different organizational units.

Dual display support is now available for Poly Studio X Series devices in Google Meet.

Google Meet now supports dual displays on Poly Studio X50, X52, and X70 devices, allowing users to view meeting participants and shared content simultaneously on separate screens. This update improves meeting engagement by ensuring that shared presentations do not obscure the view of other participants. To use this feature, devices must be updated to Poly OS 4.0.1 or higher.

Increased row limits for pivot tables and data extracts in Connected Sheets for BigQuery.

Google has increased the maximum number of rows returned from BigQuery in Connected Sheets. Pivot tables have been expanded from 30,000 to 50,000 rows, and data extracts have been expanded from 25,000 to 50,000 rows. Along with these limit increases, performance improvements have been implemented for creating pivot tables, deleting extracts, and manipulating data within pivot tables.

Google Meet is expanding its captioning capabilities to support more languages, including several Arabic dialects, Bengali, Bulgarian, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), English (UK), Gujarati, Hindi, and various South African languages such as isiXhosa and Zulu.

Expanding autocorrect to Google Chat on web

Google Chat on web now automatically corrects misspelled words to reduce typos. Corrected words are indicated with a gray underline, similar to the functionality found in Gmail and Google Docs. This feature is rolling out to all English users.

Dynamic groups now supports negation queries

Administrators can now use negation in membership queries when creating or editing dynamic groups, enabling the exclusion of users from specific sub-organizations or job titles. Certain limitations apply to queries using the 'exists' macro with AND operators or NOT operators inside the macro.
