Admins can now use Comeen or StratosMedia digital signage content as screensavers across their Google Meet hardware fleet. This opt-in feature is managed at the organizational unit (OU) level via the admin console. Users should note that Comeen and StratosMedia are paid services and that power-saving settings should be adjusted to ensure the custom screensavers remain visible during working hours.

Google is expanding interoperability for Google Meet hardware by allowing Logitech Android-based devices, specifically the Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini, and Rally Bar Huddle appliances, to call directly into Cisco Webex and Zoom meetings. This feature is enabled by default and can be managed by administrators via the Workspace Admin console, facilitating easier collaboration with external partners and customers.

The log provides detailed information on the specific policies applied, when access was granted, and the reasoning behind the decision, enabling admins to review and revise security policies to better protect Workspace data.

Gemini can provide valuable insights, such as contextual trends, patterns, and correlations, and generate static charts that can be inserted into spreadsheets. This is achieved by transforming user requests into Python code, executing them, and analyzing the results to perform multi-layered analysis without requiring the user to write code.

Google has expanded image generation capabilities for Gemini in the side panel of Docs, Sheets, Drive, and Gmail to include French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. While Gemini is generally available in these languages, image generation of people is not yet supported in these additional languages, and the Gemini side panel in Slides remains available in English only.
