Project Mariner, currently a research prototype available in the US only, is introduced as part of the Google AI Ultra for Business add-on. Google AI Ultra for Business is a new Workspace add-on providing the highest access to AI features and models, including next-generation AI tools. It offers enhanced capabilities for Gemini app, NotebookLM, Gemini in Workspace, Flow, Whisk, and Project Mariner. It also includes 12,500 credits per month for use in Flow, Whisk, and other credit-based products.

While users on Business or Enterprise Standard and Plus plans already have access to Gemini in Workspace apps like Gmail, Docs, and Sheets, Google AI Ultra for Business now provides access to most of these features for users on other qualifying Workspace plans. This allows a broader range of Workspace users to leverage Gemini's AI capabilities within their daily productivity tools.

References to Gemini add-ons are being removed from the Admin console Subscriptions page for Workspace Business and Enterprise customers.

Google is removing references to Gemini Enterprise, Gemini Business, AI Meetings & Messages, and AI Security add-ons from the Subscriptions page within the Admin console (Menu > Billing > Subscriptions). This change applies to customers whose Workspace edition now includes all functionality previously available with these add-ons, meaning these add-ons are no longer needed. This update will not cause any disruption in service, changes in feature availability, or affect your bill.
