On April 30, 2026, Whisk will be discontinued, and its key features will be integrated into Flow, Google's unified platform for AI-powered image and video creation. Users with active Whisk accounts will receive an email and in-product notifications guiding them to migrate their content to Flow or download it, as all remaining media in Whisk libraries after this date will be permanently deleted. Existing AI credits are automatically available in Flow. Users in regions where Flow is not yet supported will lose access to Whisk without a migration path and should download their content before the deadline.

The "Help me schedule" functionality in Gmail, previously limited to two-person meetings, now supports group meetings. This update enables users to coordinate meetings with multiple internal and external guests directly from the Gmail compose window. Gemini in Gmail detects scheduling intentions, proposes ideal time slots based on calendar visibility, and allows users to edit the guest list. Once a recipient selects a time, a Google Calendar invite is automatically sent to all participants.

Admins can now assign or unassign Google Calendars to Google Meet hardware devices in bulk via CSV upload.

Google is introducing a new capability for administrators to manage calendar assignments for Meet hardware devices in bulk. By utilizing a CSV file with the 'assignedCalendarResourceEmail' column, admins can assign or unassign calendars across multiple devices simultaneously, reducing administrative effort for large organizations. Note that while personal calendars can be assigned to multiple devices, room calendar resources are limited to one device at a time, requiring a two-step CSV process to move them between devices.

Updates to meetings made by a delegate user will now be sent in the name of the principal, ensuring consistent communication.

Previously, when a delegate user managed a principal's Google Calendar, initial invitations appeared from the principal, but subsequent updates or cancellations were sent from the delegate's email. This update ensures that all event-related emails, including cancellations and modifications, will consistently come from the principal, providing a more seamless experience for meeting participants and preventing confusion for guests.
