Google is introducing a refreshed visual design for the Docs, Sheets, and Slides apps on Android devices, which includes updates to the editing toolbar, icons, and background colors.

Admins can now allow users to install any app from the managed Google Play store on managed Android devices.

Google is introducing an option for admins to allow users on corporate-owned Android devices or those with work profiles to install any app from the managed Google Play store, removing the previous requirement to whitelist every app. Admins can enable this in the Admin console under Device management > App Management > Manage apps for Android devices. Even with 'Allow all apps' enabled, admins can still whitelist specific apps to feature them on the managed Google Play homepage.

Google Apps Device Policy app disables non-critical apps on non-compliant Android devices.

The Google Apps Device Policy app will now disable access to non-critical apps on any work profile or company-owned Android device that is determined to be non-compliant with the organization's security policies. Users will be notified of the violation, and the apps will be re-enabled once the device complies with all security policies.

Streamlined account setup for user-owned devices running Android 5.x (Lollipop).

The account setup flow for user-owned devices running Android 5.x (Lollipop) has been streamlined. Employees no longer need to manually install the Google Apps Device Policy app from the Play for Work store; the app will now be automatically installed and activated during setup.

Easier setup and management for company-owned devices running Android 6.0 (Marshmallow).

Google has introduced a new option in the Admin console to manage company-owned devices running Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). When enabled, the Google Apps Device Policy app is automatically installed, allowing for full device management (MDM) and application management (MAM). Admins can now require passwords, remotely wipe company information, approve apps, and restrict wireless/network settings, sharing settings, and factory resets.

Enhanced Mobile Application Management (MAM) features for Android for Work.

New Android MAM features allow admins to streamline deployment by auto-installing apps into an employee's Work Profile, maintain productivity by preventing the uninstallation of certain apps, and enhance data protection through widget control.
