Additionally, the search experience for end-users has been improved with blocked item tags and a 'Private items' filter to streamline the discovery of approved extensions.

These new capabilities give IT administrators more insight into Chrome user profiles in their organization. The report includes a new managed profiles list and detail pages where IT administrators can find information such as profile details, browser versions, policies applied, extensions installed and more.

Updates for managed iOS devices with the release of Chrome 121

We’ll be introducing several improvements to Chrome-on-iOS that will help admins more seamlessly apply policies and preferences across their users’ managed devices.

Admins can now view “Sensitive Content Snippets” for data loss prevention (DLP) rules for Drive, Chat, and Chrome.

When turned on, snippets will log the matched content that triggered a DLP violation in the security investigation tool. Admins can use the information captured in the snippet to better identify actual security risks, determine whether a false positive was returned, and decide on an appropriate course of action.

We’ve added a dedicated category for Chrome Browser admin capabilities in the left-hand navigation menu in the Admin console.

Previously, you would have to go to Devices > Chrome > Managed browsers as a Chrome Browser admin — this makes navigating to these specific pages faster.
