Nano Banana 2 (Gemini 3.1 Flash Image) is being rolled out to Workspace customers and personal account users in the Gemini app, replacing the previous Nano Banana model. It brings high-speed intelligence to visual generation, enabling the creation of infographics, diagrams, and data visualizations using real-time web information. Key improvements include production-ready specs with adjustable aspect ratios and resolutions up to 2K for paid users, precise text rendering and translation, enhanced subject consistency for characters and objects, and superior visual fidelity. Image generation is available to users of all ages, though image editing remains restricted to those 18 and older.

Google Chat is now available as a data source in the Gemini app for Workspace customers.

The feature is disabled by default and must be enabled by administrators at the OU or Group level.

Gemini has expanded its practice test capabilities to include the JEE Main, utilizing rigorously vetted content from leading education companies such as PhysicsWallah and Careers360 to provide a realistic test preparation experience. This feature is currently available in English for all Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts.
