Gmail updates label management with new 'Move to' and 'Labels' buttons.
The buttons and menus at the top of the Gmail inbox have been updated to make working with labels easier. The 'Move to' option now applies a new label, archives the message from the inbox, and removes any existing labels, similar to how folders work. The 'Labels' option simply applies a new label to the message without removing others or archiving it.

Offline Gmail is now available as an experimental feature in Gmail Labs.
Google has introduced Offline Gmail as an optional, experimental feature within Gmail Labs for users of Standard, Premier, and Education Editions in US and UK English. Gmail now automatically adds people you correspond with to 'Suggested Contacts', while allowing users to manually move frequent contacts to 'My Contacts'. The address auto-complete feature works across both categories. To optimize mobile device syncing, Gmail is moving previously auto-added contacts from 'My Contacts' back into 'Suggested Contacts', ensuring only manually added, edited, imported, or grouped contacts are synced.
