Speech translation in Google Meet is now generally available for business customers.

New built-in interoperability between Google Meet and Microsoft Teams hardware.

Google is introducing video conferencing device interoperability for Google Meet with Microsoft Teams. This update allows users to join Microsoft Teams meetings from Chrome OS-based Google Meet hardware devices and join Google Meet meetings from Windows-based Microsoft Teams Rooms devices.

All existing Google Forms will be automatically upgraded to include granular controls over who can respond.

Google Forms is implementing an automatic upgrade for all existing forms to incorporate granular controls for managing who can respond. Upon this upgrade, all users who previously had the ability to respond to a form will maintain that access. Once the upgrade is complete, form creators can make changes to who can respond using the new granular controls, if desired. The form will remain available to receive new responses while it is being upgraded.

Google Classroom now supports direct audio, video, and screencast recording functionality.

Starting today, Google Classroom is integrating audio, video, and screencast recording capabilities directly into the platform. This new functionality is designed to help transform teaching and learning through multimodality, improving communication, intake, and retention for learners. Teachers and students (when permitted) will now see a record button to initiate, record, and post audio, video, or screencasts without leaving Classroom. This feature is available in private comments, announcements, posts, assignments, and submissions.
