Google has expanded its pre-integrated SAML apps catalog by adding 11 new third-party applications: &frankly, Bonusly, HelloSign, Salsify, Sequr, Small Improvements, SpaceIQ, StatusHub, Symantec Web Security Service (WSS), ThousandEyes, and PurelyHR. This integration allows users to access these enterprise cloud applications via Single-Sign-On (SSO), providing a simpler installation process for administrators compared to setting up custom SAML applications.

This allows administrators to more easily set up Single-Sign-On (SSO) for these enterprise cloud applications compared to installing custom SAML applications.

We’re now adding SAML integration for ten additional applications: Aha!, Atlassian Cloud, Datadog, Desk, Github Business, HackerOne, Mavenlink, Mixpanel, SpringerLink, and Springerlink Test.

OAuth2 tokens will be revoked when a user's password is changed.

Google is implementing a security policy change where OAuth2 tokens issued for access to certain products will be revoked automatically when a user changes their password. Due to customer inquiries, the full rollout of this policy has been delayed until early 2016.

To enhance account security, Google has updated its security policy so that OAuth2 tokens issued for access to specific products—including Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Apps Sync for Microsoft Outlook (GASMO)—are revoked whenever a user's password is changed. This ensures that if a device is lost and the password is reset, data will stop syncing to that device until the user re-authenticates with their updated credentials.

Improved integration between Google Apps Marketplace and Android for Work for easier app discovery and installation.

Google has introduced new features to help admins identify and install apps that work with Android for Work. The Google Apps Marketplace now includes an 'Available on Android for Work' section, while the Play for Work store now features a 'Works with Google Apps' section. These updates allow admins to seamlessly navigate between the two stores to approve and deploy compatible enterprise apps to their users' Android devices.

Google has introduced a new site for the Google Apps Marketplace to make it easier for admins and employees to find third-party applications that integrate with Google Apps for Work. The new site features a home page highlighting popular apps and new arrivals, improved search functionality, and a navigation bar for better discoverability.

Improvements to G Suite launch announcement structure.

Google is adding more structured information to its launch announcements to help G Suite admins better digest and communicate updates to their users. Future announcements will now include specific details regarding the release track, eligible editions, rollout pace, impact, and recommended admin actions.

Introduction of iOS Account Wipe (Selective Wipe) for corporate data.

Google Apps admins can now use iOS Account Wipe (Selective Wipe) to safely delete an employee's corporate account and data from an iPhone or iPad without affecting the employee's personal data, such as photos. This is distinct from the existing Remote Wipe functionality which wipes the entire device.

Launch of Password Alert Chrome extension to protect accounts from phishing.

Google has launched Password Alert, an open-source Chrome extension that protects Google and Google Apps accounts from phishing attacks by notifying users via email if they enter their password into a non-authentic Google sign-in page. Google Apps admins can also deploy an App Engine App to audit these events, receive notifications, and force password changes for affected employees.

Google Apps will discontinue support for Internet Explorer 8 on November 15, 2012.

As part of its policy to support only the current and prior major releases of modern browsers, Google Apps will stop supporting Internet Explorer 8 on November 15, 2012, following the launch of Internet Explorer 10. After this date, users accessing Google Apps services using Internet Explorer 8 will be prompted to upgrade their browser.

Introduction of Delivery Manager for managing email routing and filtering.

Google Apps administrators can now use a new feature called Delivery Manager in the administrator control panel to manage routing and basic filtering of email to on-premise systems as well as email to Google Apps users. This update is part of the integration of Postini and Google Apps.

Automated domain verification for GoDaddy and eNom customers.

Google has launched a simplified, automated domain verification solution in collaboration with GoDaddy and eNom. Users who purchase their domains through these registrars can now verify ownership through a guided process, removing the requirement to manually update DNS records.

New Google bar look rolling out to all Google Apps users.

Starting June 11, 2012, a new Google bar design will be available for all Google Apps users. The updated bar features links to core services at the top level and a 'More' drop-down menu for additional services. Google Search, Images, and Mobile will always be visible, and the layout dynamically adjusts as services are turned off.
