Google Workspace Business and Enterprise admins can now turn on access to Workspace with Gemini alpha features for their users, allowing early access to AI features and providing feedback to Google. Access can be controlled at the domain, OU, or group level.

Gemini in the side panel of Docs, Sheets, Drive, and Gmail is now available in seven additional languages.

Google has expanded the availability of Gemini in the side panel for Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, and Gmail to include seven new languages: French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. This allows eligible users to summarize, analyze, and generate content using insights from their emails and documents without switching applications. Note that image generation is not yet supported in these additional languages, and Gemini in Slides remains available in English only.
